Elephant
Palm Tree is a 10 minute short film which takes a look
at the West Indian, Black British family in a way we
haven’t quite seen before.
The
themes explored in the film include: loneliness within
relationships and the sexuality of the older woman –
what does it mean to be a woman?
How far down the road of being wife, menopause,
mother but not lover does a woman cease to be a woman
(or see herself as such)?
With
this film, we intend to make something that feels
truly new and that touches, moves and inspires.
